A defoamer is a chemical additive that reduces the surface tension and thereby removing the possibility of foaming. In industrial and municipal processes froth of many different reasons. These products increase the process speed and reduce other problems which can be caused by foam, such as surface foam that makes it difficult to measure both the flow levels in different parts of the process.
